About Me
My love for animals began long before I ever raised a litter of puppies.
I grew up on a small farm in upstate New York where there always seemed to be some kind of baby animal to care for. Those early years taught me the value of patience, responsibility, and the quiet joy that animals bring into our lives.
After college in the 1980s, I moved to Southern Utah where I raised my family and continued to share my life with dogs. Over the years I have owned and occasionally bred a few wonderful dogs, but my commitment to responsible breeding truly deepened after one very difficult experience.
One of my beloved dogs developed severe hip dysplasia. Watching her struggle with pain and helping her through that journey was heartbreaking. Eventually we had to make the compassionate decision to end her suffering. It was one of the hardest things I have ever faced as a dog owner.
That experience shaped the way I approach breeding today.
I made a promise to do everything I could to help prevent other families from experiencing the same heartbreak. Every dog in my program is OFA certified for hips and elbows, and I perform DNA health testing to screen for hereditary conditions. My goal is always to strengthen and better the breed while giving each puppy the very best start possible.
Because early life experiences matter, I also use Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and thoughtful early socialization with my puppies. These methods help support healthy brain development, resilience, and confidence as they grow.
Our puppies are raised with care, attention, and plenty of positive human interaction. They are part of our lives from the moment they are born until the day they join their new families.
As a small hobby breeder, I focus on quality over quantity. Each litter is carefully planned with the hope of producing healthy, well-balanced Labrador Retrievers and Golden Retrievers that will become loyal companions, family members, and lifelong friends.
My aim is simple:
To provide the best puppy you will ever have — one with the greatest chance to live a long, healthy, and happy life.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our program and the care that goes into raising every puppy.
